Hop on a streetcar to visit different parts of the city. There are 3 major streetcar lines that’ll get you all over the city: Canal Street, St. Charles, and River Street. Be sure to hop on the St. Charles line, known for its charm and romance, to see some gorgeous antebellum mansions and lively oaks that’ll knock your socks off. Hop on the Riverfront Line to visit The French Market, Harrah’s Casino, Canal Place, and more. Fees are $1.25 when you get on the streetcar. Be sure to have exact change. You can also purchase one, three, or 31-day passes.

4. The St. Louis Cathedral

In the French Quarter, you’ll find the oldest cathedral in North America: The St. Louis Cathedral. This church was built in the early 1700’s and has been since rebuilt twice. There are still religious services held, so feel free to attend or simply just peek inside to see its beauty.
